National Chemistry Week is the national celebration of the contributions of chemistry to our lives. During this week, chemists and other chemical professionals make a special effort to educate the public about chemistry, through school visits, mall displays and open houses.
The
presence of the Chemical Institute of Canada Board in Vancouver at the opening
of National Chemistry Week 2002 allows an opportunity to have the national
launch of National Chemistry Week in Vancouver. To kick off the celebrations, we
invited dignitaries and school children to share in the fun.
